Six years ago, my fate changed when I ditched my day job at Jamba Juice. Frankly, it was absolutely a rough start for me and my husband. We were young parents struggling to get by and raise our 3-year-old daughter.

With my savings depleting, we had to look for ways to secure a job or something to do even when at home. After days of researching online, I stumbled upon a Facebook group intended for Work-at-home-moms led by some of the renowned and highly-recommended WAHMS by clients from here and abroad.

The group has taught many moms like me, seeking for another unknown reality that has led me to where I am today. They have nurtured, taught and help us to strive and unleash what we are capable of doing aside from being “just a mom”. (But hey, being a mom is the absolute best!)

I’ve juggled my freelancing and entrepreneur journey as a Virtual Assistant, Events Director, Digital Strategist, Social Media Manager, Ghostwriter, Chief-Of-Operations, Freelance Real Estate Writer, and now a serial entrepreneur of Gawang Kamay and Produkto.

In the span of 6 years, I’ve learned how to rise up whenever an obstacle tries to bring me down, erratic streams of revenue helped me find solutions to manage our finances better, and I’ve continuously allowed myself to learn from every triumphs and success. All thanks to my loyal clients and colleagues especially to Manila Workshops’ CEO, Ginger Arboleda, my friend and mentor who has helped me since Day 1. All this won’t be possible without her love and support.

This year, give your dream, passion, goal a chance. Have you ever wondered if being a Freelancer/Entrepreneur is for you?
